About WebsitePolicies

WebsitePolicies is a web service that generates legal policies and consent tools for websites and apps. It describes its policies as attorney drafted and personalised through a step by step process. Alongside its policy generators it offers a cookie consent banner and a data subject access request (DSAR) form generator.

The policy range is broad: privacy policy, terms and conditions, cookie policy, disclaimer, refund and shipping policies, DMCA policy, acceptable use policy, Impressum and a guest post agreement. The site names GDPR, CCPA, CPRA and PIPEDA, plus consumer protection laws, and says it automatically updates policies as laws and requirements change on paid plans. The pages checked do not mention UK GDPR by name.

Paid plans are billed annually in US dollars. At the time of checking, Starter was $59 a year for three policies of your choice with 10 revisions each, Professional was $99 a year for all policies with unlimited revisions and multiple languages, and Business was $139 a year for all policies across five websites or apps.

How to create a policy with WebsitePolicies

  1. Choose the policy you want to create and start the step by step questionnaire.
  2. Answer the questions about your website, business and data practices.
  3. Review the policy and choose the free basic version or a paid plan.
  4. On a paid plan, embed the self-updating policy with one of the installation methods, or view and download it.

Things to know

  • Free basic policy limits: One revision, one site, no embedding, no self-updating and not for commercial use.
  • Annual billing: Paid plans are shown as yearly prices.
  • Languages: Multi-language policies are listed on Professional and Business.
  • Check the output: Generated policies reflect your answers only. Check that the result fits your business, including any UK specific obligations.
